New Years in Door County!
January 1st is coming soon! Door County is the perfect place to celebrate the New Year. There are tons of opportunities to have all kinds of fun this coming weekend.
New Years Eve is a big night and why not celebrate in style. Restaurants all over our lovely peninsula are putting on quite a spread. Make sure you have reservations to ensure you get that romantic evening that you are longing for.
Bring in the New Year right by participating in the Annual Jacksonport Polar Bear Plunge at Noon on Jan 1st. Feeling brave? People from all over fill up this regularly quiet town to wade thru icebergs to say they took the “polar bear plunge”. In 2008, there were people from 25 states and 3 countries to participate. You better believe that this is one great way to start the year off right! It’s such a big deal that the event published a list of helpful hints to ensure that your dip into the icy lake is the most pleasant running into ice bergs can be.
Egg Harbor is hosting the New Years Day Parade. Come and join us for our celebration of the New Year – where “you are the parade!” The New Year’s Day Parade starts at 1pm regardless of the weather and the crazier you dress up, the better. You never know what you’ll see, so you don’t want to miss this!
